Job Description

Job Description: 
  • Lead and manage the activities and functions of IVF laboratory by ensuring the efficacy, reliability and implementation of laboratory health practices and standard, safety guidelines, and relevant policies and procedures and keeping abreast with latest knowledge and technological development in the field.
  • Work closely with the management to develop and review the laboratory procedure manual, policies and procedures and ensure adherence to the relevant policies at all times.
  • Conduct thorough investigation of all accidents and near misses, implement measures to mitigate and eliminate harm, document incidents and propose measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Monitor the departments’ IVF programs, collect and analyze data from various sources including IVF Laboratory Information Systems to develop informative monthly or yearly reports for management.
  • Ensure staff follow proper IVF laboratory processes, the use of equipment correctly and the materials and chemicals are labeled accurately and disposed safely.
  • Develop, review, evaluate and actively participate in research projects within the department. Analyze data to determine trends and information for managements’ decision making.
  • Participate in planning, directing and coordinating through subordinate level staff, the departments’ work plans; assign projects; review and evaluate work methods and procedures; meet with key staff to identify and resolve problems.
  • Manage the activities and performance of staff. Monitor workload, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships; identify opportunities for improvement. Implement productivity standards; resolve operations problems; implement established procedures and ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations; accomplish staff job results by coaching and guiding employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; facilitate training.
  • Attend conferences and meetings applicable to improve department’s performance. Prepare and present reports and other necessary correspondence.
  • Perform other job related duties.

 

Job Requirements: 
  • Bachelor Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field from an accredited institution – Essential
  • Registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties – Essential
  • Minimum of 10 (ten) years’ position-related practical experience – Essential
