Main duties and responsibilities:
- Provides high quality care to patients in this area of Pediatric Critical care.
- To ensure that quality of care provided will meet the standards of IACHO/JCl/CBAI-11.
- To be responsible for the patients under his care.
- Perform as Consultant-in-charge as delegated in the covered specialty area.
- Provides consultative services as requested.
- Participates in the Department Quality Improvement and Hospital program.
- Participates/serve in various hospital, departmental committees and administrative functions as directed
- Participates in educational programs and for activities as well as any graduate/postgraduate education arid training.
- Supervise and evaluate Fellows, Associate/Assistant Consultant, Staff Physicians and Residents.
- Participates in research activities.
- Performs special procedures as privileged.
- Follows all hospital related policies and procedures and medical protocols.
- Must be flexible to cover other duties as needed by members of the staff
- Performs other job related duties as assigned as directed by the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics or Section Head.
Education
1. Graduate of a recognized medical school with a valid medical degree and pediatric specialty certificate acceptable equivalent qualifications. i e. Fellowship Board Certification or Master’s Degree.
2. Successful completion of accredited sub specialty Fellowship program in Pediatric Critical Care.
Work Experience
Must have subspecialty experience in Pediatric Intensive Care.
