Job Description

 Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides patient care that meets or exceeds the standards set by the JCIA.
  • Provides and runs outpatient clinics in his/her name and responsibility. These services are in the field of Psychiatry Section.
  • Performs diagnostic or therapeutic interventions for which he/she has been granted specific privileges based on his’ her training, experience and skills.
  • Provides consultations to physicians in other specialties or subspecialties.
  • Participates in Psychiatry on-call rotations, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Section and the Dept rtment of Medicine.
  • Actively participates in the educational programs of the hospital, particularly the Residency/Fellowship training proram.
  • Participates in approved clinical research activities.
  • Actively participates in Quality Improvement activities.
  • Provides close supervision of the clinical performance and activity of subordinates, especially those in
  • Serves in committees as appointed by the Head of the Section, the Chairman of Medicine or the Executive Director, Medical Services, WR.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Head of Section, the Chairman of Medicine or the Executive Director, Medical Services, WR.

Education:   

  • The candidate must have graduated from an accredited Medical School and possess a Doctor of Medicine Degree, plus completion of Psychiatry Residency Program. Has at least one year post Psychiatry in addiction subspecialty, or three years at Assistant to Associate Consultant level, and certification by a relevant North American or Western-equivalent Specialty Board, i.e., Saudi/Arab Boards, Ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required. Ability to speak Arabic desirable.

Work Experience:

  • Fellowship from relevant Royal College in Northa American Specialty Board Certification or Equivalent
