Job Description
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Undertakes clinical work in all areas of the surgical specialty under instruction and/or supervision of seniors/consultant.
- Undertakes surgical procedures for which privileges have been granted but with the knowledge of the
seniors/consultant. Has the privilege to open the theatre, as all appointees must be board certified. - Undertakes administrative duties as assigned by seniors including morbidity/mortality and quality improvement activities. Attend Section and Departmental meetings and represent Department in Committees as required.
- Arrange equitable on-call rosters in consultation with seniors, peers and juniors to ensure adequate cover.
- Responsible for instruction and teaching those in lower grades, residents and interns as required. Partakes in other educational activities.
- Takes share of medical record work to generate quality records in a timely fashion.
- Perform other job related duties.
Job Requirements:
Education: Graduation from a medical school.
Successful completion of a structured, accredited residency training program.
Certification by the appropriate specialty board approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
Work Experience: Minimum of two years- Essential
