MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides and controls list of team activities
• Act as the principal physician during morning rounds for planning and teaching.
• To function as a daily mentor for the residents and utilize the time and cases presented to teach theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the team residents.
• The 2^nd On-Call member when on duty on-call for Labor & Delivery Unit, Emergency Department and at night for the
• Must update the Team Consultant of any new development in patients and seek his/her opinion for any problems where decisions should be taken
• Should perform surgery together with residents under the Consultant’s supervision.
• Should play a teaching role in guiding residents in self learning and research activities
• Must set an example to residents with regard to all aspects of the role of a physician in the specialty of Obstetrics &
• Takes part in formulation and review of Policies & Procedures for the division and department.
• Serves on committees as appointed by the Head of the Division or the Departmental Chairman.
• Perform other job related duties.
