Job Description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the on-call duties as a first on-call covering ER Consultation, hospital consultation and in­patient adult cardiology units.
  • Provide routine patient care in adult cardiology in both in-patient and out-patient settings.
  • Participate in the divisional educational activities and research projects.
  • Participate in the management of acutely ill patients presenting with acute cardiac conditions.
  • Perform duties on rotational basis in different areas/services of adult cardiology.
  • Must complete the intubation course.
  • Must be cooperative and flexible to do coverage as needed by members of the adult cardiology team.
  • Perform patient/chart screening for out-patient cardiology consultations.
  • Participate in the supervision and educational activities for residents rotating in cardiac services.
  • Initiate management action plan as required to all critically ill patients during on-call duties, in consultation with a senior staff.
  • Participate in the Quality Management activities.
  • Participate in the diagnostic and therapeutic laboratory aspects of adult cardiology and any other laboratory procedures that might develop in the future.
  • Must adhere to departmental and hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Must be accountable to the Head Section and Chairman to carry out the above tasks on a “higher professional level”.
Job Requirements: 

Education:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree of Medicine from a recognized medical

Must be a registered member in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).

Postgraduate Training certificates in specialized fields.

Must be a Board certified in Primary Specialty (medicine).

Experience: One (1) Year after after recognized board – Preferred
